This was the first time that some of us had ever been to Canada, and what a great opportunity! We crossed the border with no difficulty, praise God, and made our way to the campground. Come to find out, it was not yet summer during the second week of June, so the campground was not fully operating as they do during open season. However it was still a great time and the pool was open, so on the days it was warm enough the kids got to swim. Another notable observation was that the temperature and climate seemed to fluctuate drastically throughout the day. One moment it would be humid and hot, the next the air was cool and crisp, another it was raining! Think Florida weather combined with Kentucky Spring...that about sums it up! This stop is about 5 hours from home, putting us over halfway to the Niagara Falls stop. Thankfully we were able to get tickets for this game and share the amazing experience of watching a professional Soccer game with the kids! With Ted and Jewel playing soccer a few years in a row now, they enjoyed the camaraderie and atmosphere of this game. We decided to make memories with the kids while we still have the chance. Through raising Magdala, we realized several important life lessons, one of which is that the old adage and advice that everyone gives young parents is so very true... "they grow up so fast." With the Soccer World Cup this summer, we decided to buy a camper and a huge van to haul it with and follow the games! While that plan (and a few others) didn't work out the way we had planned for various reasons, we decided to hoist our sails and see where the Lord will take us...After all, "We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps" -Proverbs 16:9. So here we are, catching the Wind through the Grace of the Holy Spirit, going to places we never expected, meeting people we are meant to meet, and doing our best to bring Glory to God!
